As well as adopting methods that are more efficient in building, CDL’s also publishes an annual sensibility report as part of its sustainability efforts in The Terrace EC.
Kwek had pointed out that, even though various steps have been taken by the government to promote these environments that are built for sustainability, people should also play a bigger role. This is even more important with an expected 6.9 million population growth expected by 2030.
The Terrace EC by Kheng Leong
Kwek pointed out that aside from the government, we need to see more coming in from the people sector in The Terrace EC. He further added that by developing a very strong citizenry which plays its part, he believes there is a greater chance in achieving a specific level of sustainability.
At the moment things are looking cleaner and green. However, this will become difficult to maintain and will become more of a challenge due to populations density being much higher. The government has some wonderful plans for sustainability, but people need to play a role too. This needs to be done all the way down to how and what individuals for The Terrace EC are doing to save resources and energy.
